 | FEKO by EMSS is a comprehensive electromagnetic (EM) analysis software suite, building on state of the art computational EM (CEM) techniques to provide users with software that can solve a wide range of electromagnetic problems.
FEKO is widely used in the aerospace industry, both in the commercial and military sectors, for antenna placement analysis, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) studies, and radar analysis. FEKO is ideally suited to these applications, especially when high accuracy is required, as its MLFMM allows for the full-wave analysis of finely detailed antennas (including dielectric regions such as conformal antenna substrates and radomes), mounted onto superstructures which can be many wavelengths in size. Typically, users are interested in the effect of the superstructure on antenna coupling parameters, on antenna performance or on the scattering cross section (RCS). FEKO allows the user to import radiation patterns and near-field distributions as sources, which is very useful to reduce problem complexity and when many antenna locations need to be considered. The hybrid asymptotic techniques allow the user to move beyond the computational resource limits of the full-wave solvers, providing solutions in cases where the electrical problem size is extremely large; such cases simply cannot be dealt with by conventional, non-hybridised tools.
